3 minuts walking: Prager Platz
Meeting point for the berliner with high life level. In 20s it used to be a cultural and intellectual center. Nowadays it has excellent restaurants. The Prager Passage is a perfect mall to buy, go for a walk or sunbathe in its terrasses.

The surroundings of Bayerische Platz have always been the residence of artists and the intellectuals. Albert Einstein lived there.

15 minuts walking or 5 minuts by Metro U9, from Güntzelstr.: City West - K' Damm.
The centre of west Berlin, the most popular commercial district with the famous Kadewe (abbreviation of west warehouses), Kurfürstendammstr., Wittenbergplatz, Breitscheidplatz with the Kaiser Wilhelm church in ruins, the Zoological Garden, theatres, museums, cultural centres and luxury shops.

15 minuts by Metro U4, from Bayerischer Platz and transbord in Wittenberg Platz (U2):  Potsdamer Platz You cannot forget to visit this wonderful place with its modern and avant-garde architecture that raises its skyscrapers to their maximum splendour, the Sony Center, the Arcaden mall and by contrast the first traffic lights of Europe. Next door, at the Berlinale Palast, the Berlin Film Festival takes place, Berlinale where the Golden bears are delivered to the best movies.

18 minuts by Metro U4, from Bayerischer Platz and trasbord Wittenberg Platz : Unter den Linden (Schlossbrücke).
It is the main boulevard of the city. It starts at the Parisier Platz next to the Brandenburg Gate, where the Academy of Art, the famous Adlon Hotel and the French embassy are. From this square you can walk 1.5 km until the Schlossbrücke Bridge, where the Museum Insel (Museum Island) joins the central east of Berlin (Alexander Platz) . In Unter den Linden there is the Cathedral, the Opera House, Humboldt University and several institutions, museums and tourist and cultural attractions, as well as several excellent restaurants and shops.

20 minuts by Metro U4, from Bayerischer Platz and transbord Wittenberg Platz (U2): 10 minuts by Metro U2, from Klosterstr: Friedrichstr.
It is the main street and especially more "glamorous" in the most elegant neighbourhood, only few meters away from the Gendarmenmarkt. Here you will find large and luxurious trademarks, Lafayette Galleries with its striking inner architecture, restaurants and bars with exclusive customers and high level quality. It was the old border between the two Germanies and CheckPoint Charlie reminds it.

30 minuts by Metro U4, from Bayerischeplatz and transbord Wittenbergplatz (U2): Alexander Platz, Nikolai Viertel, Alexa.
Simply Alex for Berliners, it is also the communication nerve centre and passengers transfer. We find the Fernsehturm, the highest TV Tower in the European Union,, the Roten Rathaus,  the Forum Hotel Berlin, the World Clock, and the best stores and shopping malls.

Mall Alexa
The last 12th of September, 2007 the new mall was opened. It has 8,000 m2. of surface, 26 restaurants and the biggest Media Markt store in Europe. A wonder near home.

Nikolai Viertel
If we go for a pleasant walk from our apartment along the Spree River, we arrive at the restored old town of Berlin with the Nikolaikirche as its principal part. Its pleasant pedestrian zone delights the visitors, as well as its excellent restaurants, craftsmen and shops. We find on the same side the Roten Rathaus and the Alexander Platz.

25 minuts: Hackescher Markt.
There are 15 minutes on foot from Alexander Platz, and 4 minutes by tram M4. The zone amazes by its young, modern and current environment. You may enjoy many bars of different designed trends and styles, and restaurants of all kinds of cuisine, a leisure choice incomparable with an exceptional environment that flows through the surrounding streets and the famous "Höfes" (inner courtyards).
